You work in a company, and your manager is leaving soon. Write a letter to a colleague asking them to help arrange a farewell gift for your manager, in your letter:

• Express your feelings about the manager’s departure
• Propose a suitable farewell gift
• Suggest arrangements to organize the purchase

Write at least 150 words, (You do NOT need to write any addresses).

Hi [Colleague’s Name],

I hope you’re doing well. As you know, [Manager’s Name] will be leaving us soon, and I feel a mix of sadness and gratitude. Their support has meant a lot to us all, and we will truly miss them.

I think it would be nice to get a farewell gift to show our appreciation. How about a personalized plaque with a message from the team? It could highlight their contributions and include some kind words from us.

Could you help organize this? We can start a collection to cover the cost. I suggest we gather contributions by the end of this week so we can order the plaque in time for their farewell party. We can also work together on the wording.

Some believe that parents should take full responsibility for their children’s actions, while others argue that it is the government’s role to regulate and enforce standards of behavior. In my opinion, while both sides have merit, parents should primarily handle their children’s behavior, supported by government initiatives when necessary.

Parents play a crucial role in shaping their children’s behavior. They are the primary influencers in their lives and are responsible for instilling family values and discipline. A nurturing home environment encourages children to understand the difference between right and wrong. For instance, when parents consistently set boundaries and model appropriate behavior, children learn accountability and respect for others. Moreover, effective communication within families can help address issues early on, preventing poor behavior from escalating.

Conversely, some argue that the government should step in to regulate children’s behavior, especially in public spaces. This viewpoint emphasizes the importance of laws and school regulations in promoting good behavior. For example, schools often implement strict codes of conduct that address bullying and disruptive actions. These regulations serve not only to maintain a safe environment but also to teach children about consequences. In conclusion, while the government plays a role in supporting good behavior through regulations and programs, the primary responsibility lies with parents.
